Men in the U.S. have a 10% chance of being incarcerated and experiencing the associated penalties found in probation or parole programs. These percentages dramatically increase as the data is charted across minority groups with blacks being impacted the greatest. Salute1st fully supports re-entry programs and similar initiatives tailored to preparing men for the opportunity to enter back into society with a productive and healthy mindset. Our direct approach is not focused as much on the crime and the events that followed, but rather gaining a full understanding of the mental, emotional, and psychological conditions that were present before a crime was ever committed. We strongly believe that if these conditions are not addressed and remain overlooked, or even masked by providing jobs and employment that there will be gaps found in the rehabilitation process that will inadvertently work against the overall agenda of total transformation and redemption.

The battlefield that rests between a man’s Identity and his Emotions is where true and lasting transformation takes place. By carefully peeling back the layers of inmate’s perspectives and mental conditioning we are granted access to strategically implant new and transformative principles that over time men grow to trust and eventually adopt as their own. The power that lies dormant inside of a second chance can only be protected by a new and realigned perspective!

Inmates are fully aware of society’s expectations and the variety of opinions that await their return home. What we work to accomplish is helping these men navigate mentally and emotionally though these hurdles to prevent setbacks and missteps that are designed to prohibit their complete integration back into a life of peace and personal success.
