Founder ImageMr. Taylor is founder and CEO of Salute1st, a Leadership & Training Academy that gears toward challenging men of all ages to shift their mindsets and perspectives regarding obstacles associated with manhood. Mr. Taylor is a staple in the SCDC prison system where he remains accessible and tangible in his efforts of supporting re-entry programs and prison reform initiatives. His approach of intimate style class training sessions, small group roundtable discussions, and one on one accountability courses has proven to motivate and inspire men from various backgrounds and setbacks where he instills hope and redirection to men who truly desire redemption.

Mr. Taylor is also the President & Owner of Rock Soul Inc., an entertainment company servicing the industries of music, television, and publishing. Mr. Taylor’s strategic and forward thinking has been instrumental in the firm’s ability to not only remain competitive and diversified, but also in enabling the company to secure greater levels of creative control & ownership regarding all intellectual property and creative content while simultaneously increasing profitability.

Prior to his shift into entertainment, Mr. Taylor was a President & Partner at Metro Transportation Services from 2011 through 2016. Mr. Taylor started as an Independent Contract Driver delivering packages on behalf of Metro Transportation through his company Courier-Logix, LLC. In less than one year he grew his small business to $500k annually which caught the attention of the then, sole owner of Metro Transportation. Shortly after, an agreement was put in place to release the control of all operations & sales of Metro to Mr. Taylor unrestrictedly. Using unorthodox routing methods and innovative approaches to solutions, Mr. Taylor grew the portfolio of business from $900k to $5 million annually in less than three years. During this time, Mr. Taylor’s ability to create solutions and drive impact was recognized and awarded by the CVMSDC, Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, Pride Magazine, Tuck School of Business and Charlotte’s Leadership Academy.

Mr. Taylor prides himself on being a “self-educated black man” having no formal education outside of the 10th grade. His ability to overcome numerous obstacles and setbacks in his life has been a symbol of hope and a form of inspiration to men all over the world. Mr. Taylor currently resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife Fantasia Taylor and their three children and two grandchildren.
